On your next trip, consider leaving the heavy laptop behind. After all, you can replace the role of the laptop on the road with other devices, like a thumb drive or an iPod. Today, many portable Windows applications will run off a thumb drive -- including MojoPac and U3 -- allowing you to run applications such as Microsoft Outlook and save documents on the thumb drive. Of course, you'll need access to a host machine, but once you have that, you can plug in your MojoPac-equipped thumb drive at any computer or workstation at, say, a cybercafe, and access your documents and applications.
