Antioxidant 245 is an efficient asymmetric hindered phenolic antioxidant. Its prominent features include high antioxidant efficiency, low volatility, and good resistance to oxidative discoloration. It exhibits significant synergistic effects when used with secondary antioxidants (such as thioesters or phosphites) and provides excellent weathering resistance to products when used in combination with light stabilizers. It is mainly used as a processing and long-term heat stabilizer for styrenic polymers such as HIPS, ABS, MBS and engineering thermoplastic resins such as POM and PA. Additionally, it also serves as an effective chain terminator in PVC polymerization processes.
