After upgrading the driver for the ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card, everything seemed fine, and there was no noticeable change. A discrete graphics card, when not handling heavy display computations, is almost indistinguishable from an integrated graphics card. I usually just play text-based games. For 3D games, firstly due to my nearsightedness, and secondly because I often stay up late, my eyes are frequently tired, so dealing with fast-paced operations is truly tormenting. When a colleague tried to play Warcraft on Lin Wang's desktop computer, it wouldn't work, showing the message "3D acceleration cannot be enabled, please install a new version of the graphics card driver."
