In August this year, Google moved to a new building in Mountain View, located west of the Google headquarters campus, across the river. The problem is that Google only provides three meals a day within the headquarters campus, so the Google employees in the new building have to cross a bridge and walk a fair distance to the headquarters for meals.
Thus, someone suggested setting up a flying fox to cross the small river and connect the two campuses. On a Friday afternoon, an employee named Doug bought a rope, and by Saturday, the zip line was set up.
