Google used to not make a browser, instead choosing to support Firefox; for example, Google's previous recommendations included Firefox with the Google Toolbar (which is what I use now).

You will soon be attracted to Google Chrome's tab browsing. It does not have many feature-laden toolbars, has a very minimalist interface, and is optimized for all of Google's various services.

The news of Google launching its own browser shocked the industry. However, Microsoft showed disdain towards Google making a browser.

On Monday, Dean Hachamovitch, the General Manager of Microsoft's IE browser business, issued a statement.

The statement read: "The browser market is highly competitive, but people will choose IE8 because it provides the services they want right at their fingertips... Additionally, compared to any other browser, IE8 allows Internet users to control their personal data online."
