Google disclosed in the company blog on Tuesday that the amount of toxic spam in July had set a new record since the beginning of this year. Data collected by Google Postini enterprise e-mail security service showed that the highest number of e-mail virus attacks reached around 10 million on July 24th. Sundar Raghavan, a marketing manager of Google's security business department, indicated that such a large number of e-mail virus attacks implied that spams could pass through the user's security system and make the user's PC become a "zombie" (a computer that could automatically attack other users' computers).
