At noon today, upon entering the domain name for Google Music Search (www.g.cn/music), I was very surprised to find that this page was accessible. However, after a few minutes, it reverted back to the previous 404 error page. Below is a screenshot of the interface. The homepage of Google Music Search is a list page of the "Top 100 New Songs." In the top left corner is the usual Google navigation menu, and in the top right corner is the link to "Open Player." The logo used is the regular one, without any special channel logo.

In Google Music Search, Google provides services such as trial listening, downloading, lyrics, and ringtones. Among these, the trial listening link address is www.google.cn/music/top100/, while downloading and lyrics are under g.top100.cn. The ringtone service directs users to China Mobile's 12530 page.

In Google Music Search, you can search by artist, song title, or album name. Below the search box at the top, there are three drop-down menus for navigation: Song Rankings: Top 200 Songs, Top 100 New Songs, Rock Songs, Film & TV Golden Melodies, Ethnic Songs; Artist Rankings: Top 100 Artists, Bands & Combos, Male Artists, Female Artists, Mainland Artists, Hong Kong & Taiwan Artists; Album Rankings: Top 100 Albums, Top 100 New Albums, Rock Albums, Film & TV Soundtracks, Chinese Folk Music Albums, Top 100 New Songs.

How effective is the search? When I searched for "Jay Chou," only one duet with Van Ness between Jay Chou called "Roof," another duet with CoCo Lee called "Damo Dan," and some artist information were found. Other results had little relevance to Jay Chou. This indicates that Google has not yet completed negotiations with the copyright company for Jay Chou's songs. In the help documentation for Google Music Search (which is now also inaccessible), Google explains: if a music item cannot be found, it means that its partner, Jumei Music Network, has not successfully negotiated with that record company. Google suggests, "Please contact Jumei Company" -_-|||. Why would they have users contact Jumei Company?!
