In hindsight, Nokia's acquisition of Symbian Software was a wise move. The unified Symbian system platform has become more powerful. Recently, Google's Google Map software has also been launched on the S60 platform.

The Google Map software with traffic guidance was previously only available for BlackBerry and Java phones. This support for the S60 platform can be seen as a compromise by Google towards Nokia. Previously, a U.S. analyst revealed that after the unification of the Symbian system platform, given the current situation, Google might likely cooperate with Nokia to jointly develop a new generation of open-source systems based on Symbian. However, Nokia firmly denied this viewpoint.
