According to the evening news of April 25 in Beijing time, the European Commission said in a statement on Thursday that it has begun soliciting feedback from Google's competitors regarding the antitrust settlement agreement submitted by Google, for a period of one month.Google submitted its final antitrust settlement agreement earlier this month, aiming to alleviate the EU's concerns and thereby conclude the antitrust investigation against Google. The European Commission stated on Thursday that within the next month, competitors can evaluate this settlement agreement. If there are no objections, the EU will end its investigation into Google, and this settlement agreement will remain in effect for five years across Europe. This complaint case was brought forward by more than a dozen competitors including Microsoft. They accused Google of abusing its dominant market position by lowering the search rankings of competing services while prioritizing its own services. In November 2010, the European Commission announced that it would launch an investigation into this matter. (By Ming Li)
