Moonlight Blog: Refuting the Google Earth Information Leakage Claim

Recently, the International Herald Tribune also published an odd article entitled "China Cracks down on Google Earth for Leaking Secrets, Promoting 'Imaging China' as Countermeasure", which claims that Google Earth threatens China's surface secrets, exposing so-called Chinese "military bases" and "strategic weapons". These mapping services are required to complete self-inspection and management of online maps by the end of 2008; otherwise, they will be prohibited from providing this service.
