Google 2008 Prophecy

As 2008 approaches, yet another prophecy has emerged - this time, it's Google's 14 predictions. There are no mighty prophets on the Internet; these are all speculations from users and observers. Whether they will become reality or not, who knows.

1. Attempt to unify all applications and transition into a large social network.

2. Move beyond just text searches to begin utilizing image analysis and voice recognition.

3. Although it won't abandon general search, we will see independent standard search interfaces coming from OneBoxes and other additional products.

4. Gmail will continue to add new features, such as task management, and an official version will be released.
