Previously, Google initiated a video relay creation activity. Participants just needed to download and print the "M"-shaped icon of Gmail, then record a 10-second video passing the icon from the left side of the screen to the right. Afterwards, upload it to Youtube, where Google would select some of the best videos and incorporate them into the video mentioned above, ultimately forming a complete relay video.
Ultimately, Gmail fans from 65 different countries created over 1,100 videos, with the best ones being edited by Google into the final piece for public display worldwide. This was a collection of creative ideas from Gmail fans and also showcased to the world the unique email culture created by Google: simplicity, efficiency, and power. Below is the final work:
