Gmail Germany Says Goodbye for Good

In February this year, Daniel Giersch, a 33-year-old German businessman, claimed that he had registered the Gmail trademark as early as the year 2000, while Google's Gmail service was not launched until April 1, 2004. Therefore, Google could not use this name in Germany. Eventually, the court awarded Gmail to Daniel Giersch, and Google can only use "Google Mail".
