Google's domain hosting was blocked by China's national firewall shortly after its launch, causing all users who had bound their Blogger domains to ghs.google.com to lose functionality. However, today visitor Wayne pinged ghs.google.com and found that it has been restored.

It can be seen that although there was packet loss, at least it could be pinged rather than timing out, indicating that ghs.google.com is now usable. The only thing that remains unknown is whether this unblocking was due to a server upgrade by the GFW or some other reason.
