Turkey believed that its own Google LOGO did not highlight the national characteristics, and was not as good as the US July 4th LOGO, or the ANZAC Gallipoli Campaign Martyrs' Memorial Day LOGO, etc. Therefore, Turkey requested that Google Turkey should also have a distinctive national holiday LOGO. This was not the first time, and it probably wouldn't be the last. If Google really did what they asked, Google would likely never have peace. Other countries would likely make similar requests too. Every country would want a Google LOGO with its own national characteristics. There are other icons as well, such as the Google Poland Logo, a logo deleted by Google, and the Gfans logo.
