At first glance, the two seem extremely similar. From a functional perspective, I made a simple comparison:
1. Google Analytics tracks global search trends, while Yahoo! tracks search trends within China.
2. Google supports multiple languages, whereas Yahoo! only supports Chinese.
3. Google allows data queries from 2004-2006, but Yahoo! only provides data for the current year.
4. Yahoo! lets you view results by day, week, month, quarter, and full year, whereas Google only supports month and year.
5. Both platforms support comparative queries — just separate multiple query terms with a comma. On Yahoo!, you can also use the "A-B" format for queries, but in practice, its search treats the two words separated by "-" as one term, which seems to be an error.
6. Yahoo! supports related term queries, popular term recommendations, and hot clicks, which Google does not provide.
7. Yahoo! has a feature called "My Rankings," which Google lacks.
8. Google has a comprehensive product help page, whereas Yahoo! does not.
9. Google supports various advanced search syntax options, such as "quotes", "minus sign", or "vertical bar", which are not available on Yahoo!.
