Voice chat peripheral for Wii

Nintendo has just released news announcing that a voice chat peripheral for the Wii is in development. Judging from the published pictures, this device is a large microphone placed on top of the television. This apparatus allows every player in the room to join in the voice chat through this device, basically providing a function similar to a "conference call".
