The live-action movie adapted from Blizzard's famous Warcraft series is scheduled to officially begin filming on January 14, 2014. Today, the production company Legendary Pictures formally announced the film's release date—December 18, 2015—and its title, *WarCraft* (Warcraft).
According to previous reports, it is shown that currently the crew led by director Duncan Jones (who previously directed *Moon* and *Source Code*) is in the process of casting characters for the movie. Among those under consideration, besides Colin Farrell, the male lead in *Miami Vice*, and Paula Patton, the Hollywood actress who starred alongside Tom Cruise in *Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol*, there are also Anton Yelchin, who starred in *Terminator Salvation* and *Star Trek Into Darkness*, Paul Dano, the male lead in *There Will Be Blood*, Travis Fimmel, an Australian actor, and Anson Mount, who bears a resemblance to the new Superman, Henry Cavill.
