"Samurai Warriors 2" is a sequel to the "Samurai Warriors" series, which is set against the backdrop of Japan's Warring States period. In this game, prominent generals such as Tokugawa Ieyasu and Ishida Mitsunari, who played active roles in the decisive "Battle of Sekigahara" that determined the fate of the nation in the later stages of the Warring States period, will appear.

"Samurai Warriors 2" was launched on the PlayStation 2 in February 2006 and on the Xbox 360 in August of the same year. The upcoming PC version is ported from the Xbox 360 edition, retaining the high-definition and widescreen display enhancements of the Xbox 360 version. Additionally, it offers extensive graphics customization options tailored to the characteristics of PC hardware, allowing for potentially higher visual quality than the Xbox 360 version.
