Ancient legend - Sun God Zuma

At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a legend of a mysterious ancient city in the high mountains of the Peruvian Andes. During the Spanish colonial rule for more than 300 years, they knew nothing about it, and no one visited it in the 100 years after Peru's independence. For 400 years, only the soaring mountain eagles witnessed the grandeur of the ancient city. This is today's Machu Picchu Inca Ancient City Ruins, which the Peruvians are proud of.

The people of the Inca Ancient City worshipped the sun and regarded themselves as the descendants of the sun. They spent decades building their city on the top of the mountain just to get closer to the sun. Every time the sun sets, they are always afraid that the sun will fall into the abyss and never come back again. According to legend, during the annual Winter Solstice Sun Festival, they would symbolically tie the sun to this huge stone to pray for the sun to return.
