At the end of last year, Karune once said to some people who were looking forward to the 1.22 patch: "In my opinion, those who like Warcraft III or players are all waiting for this latest patch, and their performance still makes me satisfied because they have enough patience, which makes us feel grateful. However, even so, the patch will not be released as scheduled this year, but I will tell you here that in 2008, the latest patch of Warcraft III will be the thing that Blizzard pays the most attention to, its degree of attention is higher than StarCraft II. I am also sorry for the fact that this patch cannot be released this year!"
This sentence was said by Karune in 07. On this year's April Fool's Day, Blizzard released the latest patch. At that time, many friends thought it might be an April Fool's joke, but it was not. The 1.22 patch was actually released. Fans of Warcraft III finally had the chance to see a new patch released, and some fans of using Warcraft cheats also felt honored because Blizzard did not change the cheat algorithm.
Warcraft 1.22 Patch Upgrade Modification Content:
- A new option has been added in the options menu to automatically save replays. Replays will be automatically saved to the replay folder (this greatly facilitates some players to save maps. Often, some players forget to save the map after playing a game and regret it, but such a practical function meets the needs of many players)
- An option to permanently display unit and building health bars has been added (also a convenience measure from Blizzard, which greatly facilitates the application of players, no need to often press the ALT button to achieve the purpose of displaying the health bar)
- Now you can use the /showminimapsignals and /hideminimapsignals commands to display or block signals from players and spectators on the minimap (to prevent some boring teammates from issuing such commands to interfere with yourself)
Human
- The repair time level of the watchtower has increased from 12 to 20 (a modification that makes the human race start to suffer, TD flow may need to be changed now)
- Knight attack damage increase: attack interval frequency decreases from 1.5 to 1.4; basic attack power increases from 25 to 28 (average attack power 34) (the power of knights increases, representing that his appearance times will increase)
Undead
- The armor of the spirit tower increases from 1 to 5 (finally don't have to face the bombardment of artillery and feel terrified)
- The construction time of the necropolis decreases from 120 seconds to 100 seconds (upgrading faster, thus making it easier to achieve the 3rd book frost flow)
Night Elf
- The duration of the venom effect of the venom sphere decreases from 10 seconds to 8 seconds (preventing demon hunters from killing all human peasants with just one sphere)
- The experience of the dryad increases from 40 to 60 (still helps other races)
Correction
- Items with unlimited usage will continue to cool down after being lost or exchanged (such as teleportation wands and preservation wands) (this makes some operations history, previously one preservation wand could be used multiple times, now it seems to be history)
- Fixed a bug where items like ointments and invincibility could be used infinitely (I didn't know about this vulnerability, if I knew, I would definitely take advantage of it! Hehehe!)
- After the burrower uses the burrowing skill, its automatic net skill will no longer be turned off automatically. (I knew this, it was a very troublesome setting in the previous version)
- Fixed the bug where items lose cooldown when transferred between heroes (I didn't know about this either, looks like I need to test it out when I have time)
Maps
Four new maps have been added
(2) Melting Valley
(2) Road to Stratholme
(4) Centaur Grove
(4) Tidewater Glades
The four newly added maps are generally playable. However, the balance needs to be tested by some experts to know the map's balance. If the map is relatively fair, then in the next WCG competition, these maps are very likely to be selected.
