Sniper Elite
"Sniper Elite," fully titled "Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945," is a new tactical espionage game developed by the British company Rebellion. Set against the backdrop of Berlin in 1945, "Sniper Elite" tells the story of Soviet intelligence agencies attempting to obtain Germany's ultra-secret plans for researching the atomic bomb. The player assumes the role of an elite sniper from the U.S. Aerospace Science Agency (which later became the CIA), tasked with preventing the Soviet Union from acquiring the research data on the atomic bomb first.
Rebellion emphasizes that "Sniper Elite" is not just a shooting action game; the focus of this game lies in covert operations and sniping. To complete missions, players must consider various subtle influencing factors such as the effects of gravity, wind direction, their own posture, and heart rate speed. Most of the scenes in the game can be freely explored, and to enter some secret locations, players must master techniques like hugging walls and crawling under vehicles.
"Sniper Elite" features both first-person and third-person perspective modes. In terms of player numbers, there are single-player mode, two-player cooperative mode, and multiplayer mode. As for weapons, a sniper rifle is essential, but other options include pistols, grenades, knives, machine guns, and flamethrowers.
