The work I bring to you today is a Tauren-style bathroom modified by a couple, Ragnaorc and Yezenda from the US server of Silver Brotherhood in the Horde. From the leather-made ceiling to the DIY zebra figurine, the bathroom is exquisitely decorated from top to bottom, inside and out. This unique and creative World of Warcraft-themed bathroom is one of the most incredible masterpieces I have ever seen!
Of course, we don't need to do it ourselves; we can just hire a craftsman to realize our ideas. You can also hire a craftsman to renovate your bathroom or other parts of your room according to this design. In this issue of the sundries shop, we will interview this couple and let them share some experience with us.
Reporter: Thank you for accepting our interview, Paul! Can you introduce yourself first?
Paul: Professionally, I am a teacher. Actually, I teach adult education in the highest security state prison. I also underwent a kidney transplant at the age of 24. Since we bought the house where I grew up, which has a history of over 100 years, there was quite a lot of renovation work to be done, but it did give my wife and me some experience in decoration. At the same time, we learned a lot through renovating our own house. GLORIA has a very artistic vision; she likes painting and is truly a person endowed with excellent creativity.
In terms of house renovation, we shared many interesting ideas and made our ideas come true, gradually shaping what was in our minds into reality, which is really a delightful thing.
Reporter: Have you done any renovations before?
We renovated the kitchen. As I mentioned earlier, we discussed the goals we wanted to achieve, carefully planned, and eventually transformed our kitchen into what we imagined. In fact, we are very compatible; I am good at planning and measuring, while she is better at using power tools - for example, the lines she draws are definitely straighter than mine!
Reporter: I'm sure everyone would like to know - why choose to renovate the bathroom among so many rooms?
To be honest, we had long planned to renovate the upstairs bathroom and even joked about creating a Horde-themed bathroom. Unexpectedly, the joke came true... We already had the demon suppressor lamp (which we got several years ago and thought would definitely come in handy someday), and as we planned this project, we drew more and more inspiration from our beloved World of Warcraft.
Reporter: Can you introduce the various parts of this room? They seem quite complex to make!
All credit for the entire ceiling goes to Gloria. She logged into the game and went to many different scenes just to observe the arrangements of various Horde ceilings. She liked the leather ceiling, so she decided to apply this idea to our project. To achieve the ideal effect, she used wrinkled plastic shopping bags to ink-spray the ceiling. Then she placed foam brushes at the seams - she used cotton swabs to perforate the leather for stitching, and finally, as we were about to finish, she realized that the ceiling looked too "clean." Therefore, she brushed the leather along the seams and walls to create a weathered effect, mimicking a bit of leakage. Although it's not technically challenging, the effect is indeed good.
Speaking of the most troublesome cabinets, GLORIA is truly a genius at "faking." She used a light base coat, then applied crack treatment, and finally colored the outer layer. When the crack areas were completely dry, real cracks appeared, forming the effect you see in the picture.
Reporter: Is there anything else you'd like to say?
First, I want to thank everyone who viewed our work and left comments. Fellow World of Warcraft players, you are willing to post comments, criticisms, and suggestions. Both GLORIA and I enjoy following your posts. We also want to say that we did this just for fun, not out of excessive obsession with World of Warcraft, although we do like it very much, and there are indeed a lot of happy things in the game. In fact, as the tips say, we have a great time playing with our friends in the game and even met some online friends in real life. We've also attended several World of Warcraft player gatherings. Blizzard has created a fascinating world full of adventure and wisdom, and we love it! Blizzard is awesome and should keep up the good work!
