News of adult games coming to Microsoft's motion-sensing Kinect system causes parental panic.

Previously, adult game manufacturer ThriXXX released an adult Kinect game, and Microsoft took decisive action on the Xbox 360 home console to prevent adult game manufacturer ThriXXX from releasing its previously announced Kinect pornographic game software. However, this did not alleviate the concerns of parents in El Paso (a city in Texas, USA).

Recently, adult game manufacturer ThriXXX announced that they have developed a Kinect-based interface for their adult games, allowing players to play by simply sliding their hands. The media also released a video showing a voluptuous virtual girl sitting on a couch while a player uses Kinect to "caress" the girl. Although the video was soon removed due to violating YouTube's nudity restrictions, it is still available on the developer's website.

A few days later, Microsoft announced that they would block adult game manufacturer ThriXXX from releasing its previously announced Kinect adult game software on the Xbox 360 home console. A Microsoft spokesperson stated that Microsoft would not authorize or permit such usage. The Xbox is a family-oriented entertainment gaming console, and adult games will not be allowed or tolerated on the console.

A recent news report from El Paso pointed out that many parents are afraid of Kinect. This Christmas, 5-year-old Edwin Valverde received a Christmas gift - an xBox360 and Kinect. However, his parents were upset, worried that their child might come into contact with such games in some way when no one is watching. Edwin's mother, Ms. Angelica, said: "It is particularly inappropriate when these games are aimed at young children. When children see Disney ads, they all want the items advertised." Edwin's grandfather Martin said that his first reaction upon seeing someone connecting Kinect to a computer was that the person wanted to play this game, and he believed that many people shared his thoughts.

In fact, the main issue with this news report is the confusion between Xbox360 online connectivity and PC online connectivity. Only Microsoft or its independent game developers' games can enter the Xbox360, and ThriXXX will never have the opportunity to enter the Xbox360.

This is a foolish report, but it is indeed an effective promotion. If I were a parent who doesn't know much about gaming consoles, I would definitely be scared immediately. The only thing to do might be to follow Edwin's grandfather Martin's advice - parental controls.
