Warzone 2100 is a real-time strategy game set in a future context. It pioneered the concept of unit combination, allowing various vehicles to be integrated and designed from components. It supports both single-player and multiplayer gaming.
Originally, Warzone 2100 was an early real-time strategy game released in 1999 as a commercial game. In 2004, the main part of the game was released as free software under the GPL license, and by December 2008, it was fully released as free software. After becoming open source, this game has been included in the software repositories of most Linux distributions.
