[Basic Introduction]
American game publisher Aksys has officially announced that it will distribute ARC's new classic 2D fighting game: "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" for release in North America. The game is scheduled to be released in Spring 2009 on mainstream platforms such as PSP, PS2, and Wii. This title also serves as a commemorative work marking the series' 10th anniversary. The official website for the game has now been launched, providing players with multiple latest screenshots for reference.
The new edition of "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" enhances the system based on the original version and fixes some bugs. More noticeably, two characters, Justice and Kliff, who did not appear in the previous version, are revived here. Both possess formidable abilities, especially Justice, whose character performance can be described as overpowered since she was the final boss of the first installment. Additionally, the long-awaited story mode returns in a completely new form. Since "Guilty Gear XX," this crucial mode has been absent from home console versions. After reworking it, the story mode is back, and completing it will unlock a hidden EX mode. Moreover, the mission mode in "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" has been re-edited, presenting more challenging tasks and new gallery images for fighting enthusiasts.
According to the current official announcements, the game modes in "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" include "Story Mode" and "Survival Mode." Of course, the "Versus Mode" as part of the "fighting drama" will not be missing. There are more than 20 characters available in this game, and choosing different characters in "Story Mode" will lead to different stories. In "Survival Mode," players can see how many enemies their chosen character can defeat, making it an extremely enjoyable mode. Furthermore, unlike traditional fighting games, powerful special moves can be easily executed in this game.
The game is currently scheduled for release in North America in April 2009, with plans to simultaneously launch PS2, PSP, and Wii versions. Fans of fast-paced fighting games should not miss this one.
