Recently, the news that the Chinese agent for the American Blizzard Entertainment's online game "World of Warcraft" is about to change hands has caught the attention of the industry. The internal email exposed yesterday, purportedly from Ninth City's beautiful president, Chen Xiaowei, to all employees, caught my attention, especially the sentence at the end of the letter: "Keep working hard, the future is in our hands," which left a deep impression on me. I admire Chen Xiaowei's courage and perseverance. However, if we look at the entire process of "World of Warcraft" changing agents, I believe that Ninth City did not have its future in its own hands from the day it became the agent.

First of all, relying on the operation of a single game for 90% of a company's revenue inherently carries significant risks. Moreover, this game does not belong to Ninth City itself. The simple principle of not putting all your eggs in one basket has already been overused, but why didn't it catch Ninth City's attention? Is it due to an inert corporate culture, or was Ninth City too confident in its ability to continue to tie down Blizzard as a partner?
