【Basic Introduction】
In MDK2, you can control three characters: Kurt with wings on his back, Max with six legs, and Dr. Hawkins who uses a combination of items as weapons.
The controls for each character are different: Kurt's main feature is the ability to use a scope for sniper shooting. Max can attack using various firearms. Dr. Hawkins uses item combinations to create offensive weapons.
First Level: Sniper Kurt
At the start, Kurt bravely jumps from his spaceship. By maneuvering him to avoid enemy spaceship missiles for about half a minute without being hit, he can land safely. After landing on the ground, he enters a hall where all directions are dead ends except for one unopenable door. The door has a glowing energy ball on it. Switch to sniper mode and shoot it to open the door. Jump down a passage to another protective door. This time, there's a hole in the door leading to a room with a half-lying monster holding a target. It seems like a test of Kurt's shooting skills, but since he was once a soldier, this is easy. Use sniper mode to time your shot perfectly. After opening the door, eliminate the monster and continue forward. When encountering deep pits, jump down. If it's too high, open the glider to descend. In the next hall, there’s an aerial moving platform. Jump onto the platform and eliminate the monsters below. There's an object resembling a tripod that acts as the monster generator. Destroy it first, then snipe the energy ball under the opposite platform to open the upper door. Drop off the platform, activate the glider on the fan to rise to the opened door, and continue forward to enter the next hall. Inside, two large monsters will fire guided missiles. Move left and right while shooting to defeat them. On the second floor to the left, destroy the energy ball to exit through the newly opened door into a large external room. First, destroy all the semi-automatic machine guns, then snipe all the energy balls. The central fan will then open, allowing you to glide up externally. Destroy all the planes to obtain sniper mortar bullets. Stand on the platform facing several consecutive glass covers. Use the sniper mortar to throw the bullet through the hole in the glass cover ceiling to explode the cover and glide to the opposite side. Eliminate the monsters (What? Can't hit the mark? Maybe you need to review your ballistic studies. Suggestion: Save before throwing bombs) and continue throwing bombs. Use the glider on the fan to ascend to the next exploded platform. Continue until the last tubular platform, circle around to the inside, eliminate the semi-automatic machine guns, reach the top layer, fly to the distant platform, and use the fan to ascend to face the boss. After a dialogue, it jumps onto a huge spaceship. First, snipe the airborne energy balls. Ignore the constantly appearing monsters and use sniper mode to discover four small energy balls under the center of the large spaceship. Destroy them and a new energy ball will appear. Destroy it again and the boss will show up. After a few sniper shots, it will jump out. Seize the opportunity to defeat it. Beware of its vibration attacks, dodge a few times, and finally kill this strange bird boss. While Kurt and the doctor are talking, a big monster named Shwing knocks Kurt unconscious. Seeing this, Dr. Hawkins sends out Max.
