This afternoon, Nokia officially launched a brand-new S40 phone. What makes it different is that the device has abandoned the all-touchscreen design of the Asha series and instead revived the classic physical full keyboard design. The Asha 210 has a square, rugged appearance with bright colors; its overall body is made from soft-touch plastic, which reportedly offers a feel similar to the polycarbonate plastic used in the Lumia series. Although it is an S40 phone, we can still see traces of Lumia in its design. In terms of hardware, the Asha features a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and a 2-megapixel rear camera (no front camera), with the built-in WhatsApp app. It comes in single and dual SIM card versions but supports only 2G networks, lacking 3G support. However, as compensation, the device will support Wi-Fi connectivity.Similar to previous Nokia Asha phones, the Asha 210 boasts excellent battery life, with a standby time of up to 46 days. The Asha 210 is available in five colors: lake blue, magenta, black, white, and bright yellow. Its tax-free price is £72 (the same for both single and dual SIM versions), approximately RMB 678, and will be shipped at the end of this quarter.
