The 1950s and 1960s were the golden age of the revival of Germany's post-war camera industry. There were large factories like Zeiss and Rollei, as well as countless small German-style workshops. Together, they created the last glory of Germany's camera industry. DACORA was one of these German workshops. It was established in Reutlingen, Germany in 1946, mainly producing medium and low-end cameras with finished lenses provided by other German optical factories. It eventually went bankrupt in the 1970s due to the impact of Japanese products.
