Sony Launches HD Video Walkman

The odd-looking device above is the "world's first HD Video Walkman," and also one of the ugliest products Sony has released in recent years. However, it is at least quite interesting in terms of functionality, allowing users to view their own HDV/miniDV tapes on its 7" HD screen. Additionally, the GV-HD700E can record HDV1080i/DV video signals, output via i.LINK/HDMI/component, supports x.v.Color, and features a built-in Memory Stick slot to transfer signals from the videotape to a memory card.
