I remember the first game I ever played was Tetris. It was on one of those handheld black and white devices, with only this single game on the entire machine. Unlike today where we can have hundreds or even thousands of games. But at that time, I was always curious why this game was called "Russian" squares... Later, I found out that the creator of Tetris was a researcher from what was then known as the "Soviet Union," Alexey Pazhitnov. Eventually, the rights to the game were acquired by Nintendo, who paired it with the Game Boy, creating an unexpected effect and achieving tremendous success.
