MetaLink

Anthony Bryan's MetaLink is an open standard, not a straightforward download client (such as FlashGet, eMule, or GetRight), but rather a system that supports multiple protocols and multi-sourcing, which can make downloads faster and take things to the next level. Currently supported protocols include http, ftp, rsync, BT, ed2k, and magnet, meaning that all the most popular software distribution methods currently in use can benefit from it.
