In recent years, remarkable achievements have been made nationwide in water conservation for garden greening. For example, Shantou Jinwei Beer Company recycles sewage by rerouting the irrigation network into the reused water system of the sewage station and using a dedicated pump to extract treated wastewater from the sewage station as landscaping water for the company, saving 1000 tons of water per month. Another example is Ningbo's Jiangbei District, which actively responds to the call for building a thrifty society by taking effective measures and focusing on exploring water-saving methods for garden greening maintenance, achieving significant results. It is reported that now 40% of urban garden greening uses reclaimed water, rainwater, river water and other water resources for irrigation. It is estimated that the district’s greening maintenance center extracts river network water five times a day for irrigation, with each load carrying 8 tons of water; it also uses about 5 tons of rainwater and well water daily. Calculated over 40 days of high temperature weather, this alone saves 1800 tons of water.
