In recent years, remarkable achievements have been made in water conservation for garden greening all over the country. For example, Shantou Jinwei Beer Company recycles sewage by redirecting its irrigation network to the reclaimed water system of the sewage station. It uses a dedicated water pump to draw treated wastewater from the sewage station as greenery water for the company, saving 1000 tons of water every month. Another example is Jiangbei District of Ningbo which has actively responded to the call for building an economical society and taken effective measures to explore water-saving methods for garden greening maintenance, achieving remarkable results. It is reported that now 40% of urban garden greening utilizes alternative water resources such as reclaimed water, rainwater, and river water for irrigation. According to estimates, the district's greening maintenance center draws water from the river network 5 times a day for irrigation, with each load carrying 8 tons of water; it also uses about 5 tons of rainwater and well water daily. Calculating based on 40 days of high-temperature weather, this alone saves 1800 tons of water.
