The statistics from the World Health Organization show that the ratio of patients in need of organ transplants to organs obtained worldwide is 30:1, while in our country, this ratio is about 20:1. In the almost hopeless waiting process, many lives quietly fade away.
In the year 2000, the United States was able to complete nearly 300,000 various organ transplants due to having good donor organs, thus saving hundreds of thousands of lives. In comparison, our country only performed over 20,000 surgeries. The reason for this gap does not entirely lie in technical issues but mainly in the extreme scarcity of donor organs.
In our country, influenced by traditional concepts, many people are unwilling to donate their organs after death. At the same time, due to the lack of relevant legal and regulatory support, organ donation work is severely restricted. According to incomplete statistics, there are approximately 100,000 sudden deaths caused by traffic accidents alone each year in our country, yet we can only helplessly watch as these precious organ resources turn to ashes.
Donate organs, leave a chance for others to live! (A Chinese idea)
