The plan of the Italian national pavilion was revealed. The Italian government will build a self-constructed pavilion covering an area of 6,000 square meters in the riverside area of the Expo site. The Italian side stated that the design plan of the Italian Pavilion was selected through multiple layers of screening from 65 competitors and was provisionally named "City of People." This building is composed of 20 functional modules, representing the 20 regions of Italy, resembling a miniature Italian city. From the exterior view, the entire Italian National Pavilion looks like a fractured mosaic, reflecting the harmonious coexistence of the diverse cultures of different regions. As visitors walk through it, they feel as if they are in a district that combines the Shanghai Shikumen alleyways with Italian squares.
