Our Leshan correspondent reports: Due to blindly believing that a faith healer had a special recipe for massage treatment, a 60-year-old man from Leshan County lost 4500 yuan.

Wang, a villager from Ao Stream Town in Leshan County, is nearly 60 years old. Because of overwork in past years, he has developed several health issues. On the way to a hospital in the county town for medical treatment, Wang met a plainly dressed, stern-looking man who claimed to have studied traditional Chinese medicine passed down through his family, specializing in massage therapy and having secret recipes for treating some difficult diseases. Upon learning about Wang's multiple ailments, the man said he could immediately give him a free massage diagnosis. Seeing that the man seemed knowledgeable and was offering this service for free, Wang let down his guard. Subsequently, the man took Wang to a secluded alley near the "Hongwei Bridge" in the county, pretending to repeatedly search for different acupoints on Wang’s body and perform massages.

After ten minutes, the man suddenly told Wang, "Your condition is serious, I need to call my master to help you with the massage treatment. Please wait here for a moment, I will be back soon." After saying this, the man turned around and left. After waiting for nearly half an hour at the spot, Wang instinctively reached into his clothes and found that the 4500 yuan cash hidden in the inner pocket of his padded jacket had vanished without a trace. He then realized that the money had been stolen by that man while he was massaging him earlier. Panicking, Wang quickly dialed 110. Currently, the criminal investigation team of the Leshan County Public Security Bureau has intervened in the investigation of this case.
