Hefei Evening News reported that at around 8 p.m. on the evening of August 3, with the wailing sound of police sirens, detectives from the Yingjiang Branch of the Anqing Public Security Bureau, with the assistance of Chizhou police, escorted the suspect Wang Mou, who was accused of credit card fraud, back to the Anqing expressway toll station. Thus, an online fugitive disguised as a monk from Mount Jiuhua finally revealed his true identity in front of media reporters.

In March this year, the Economic Investigation Brigade of the Yingjiang District of Anqing City received a report from the city's Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Credit Card Center, which claimed that the suspect Wang Mou was involved in nearly 30,000 yuan of fraud and other illegal loan scams.

Wang Mou is 49 years old and has been engaged in individual clothing business. During the police investigation, Wang sold his house on Qipan Road in the urban area and fled. The police officers went several times to the rented factory in Huaining County for capture but all failed. The police then listed Wang as an online fugitive and requested adjacent police forces for collaborative control. They also focused on possible escape locations such as Chizhou, Tongling, and Wuhu for key pursuit operations.

On the morning of August 3, the Jiuhua Mountain Public Security Bureau of Chizhou City found many suspicious points about Wang Mou during the "Clear Web Action" registration screening process. He had a shaved head and wore Buddhist monk robes. After checking online, it was confirmed that he was exactly the fugitive wanted by the Anqing police. It turned out that in April this year, after quietly selling his house, Wang secretly slipped away to Mount Jiuhua, thinking that this would help him evade capture by the police. When Wang was escorted onto the returning police car by Anqing police, he couldn't help but sigh: "Even if you run like a monk, you can't avoid the temple."
