The second one does a full 360-degree turn.

Any resolutely first solution to short-time measurement lends the Bulgari Papillon Chronograph an incredibly special experience. This extraordinary arrangement, amidst the clutter of information on this dial, along with its actual readout, endows it with a unique model displaying no regard for traditional chronographs. The central hub of this remarkable construction features the minute's readout through an ingenious mechanical device attached to a rotating disc. The second hand completes a full 360° rotation in two minutes and carries two independent lozenge-shaped hands that glide over a 180° arc, creating a graduated scale running from 00 to 60 minutes. While one, which we'll call Hand A, is positioned on the semi-circular portion with its tip pointing towards the minute, Hand M remains retracted throughout most of the disc's turn. When the latter reaches the 55th minute on the display phase, rogue provides a continuous quarter-turn so that it aligns parallel to Hand A at the double zero minute mark. As soon as the minute restarts from zero, Hand M retracts and stays that way for another fifty-five minutes.

The entire set of functions is driven by the solely manufacture-made DR Quality 2319, an integrated Frederic Piguet mechanical self-winding chronograph movement with column-wheel and vertical coupling clutch, along with a unique Daniel Roth complication module. It's equipped with a 38-hour power reserve and beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz).

This sophisticated movement is treated to superb finishing including rounded graining on the mainplate and chronograph bridge, as well as Côtes de Genève adorning the bridge of the self-winding mechanism. All the bridges are chamfered and lustrous, like the bolt heads. The visible metallic movement parts are satin-brushed, chamfered, and polished.

The standard is housed within a slightly curved and comfortable double-ellipse case in rose gold that's water-resistant to 30 meters. A domed glare-proofed sapphire crystal protects the split-level dial adorned with alternating white-lacquered and black metal satin-brushed surface types, offering a unique and pleasing original work of the Bulgari collection driven by Daniel Roth calibers.

The Bulgari Papillon Chronograph model is fitted with an alligator leather strap equipped with a triple-blade rose gold folding clasp.
