"If you're looking for a handsome guy, don't bother coming. If you're looking for a wallet, don't bother meeting. Those with a master's degree or above, please don't talk. Female entrepreneurs, please don't talk (small merchants and vendors are exceptions). Let's not disappoint each other. Fellows like Andy Lau and Tom Cruise who are both good-looking and talented won't come to propose to you. Of course, I haven't dreamed of something like Notting Hill either. If you were really a fairy, I couldn't handle it. I didn't expect you to look like a magazine cover that would make me lose my soul at one glance. A common person who looks fashionable, has conservative heart, and is mentally and physically healthy will do. If you have some elegance, then it would be even more reliable. Don't be too cunning, don't be too young, know how to fold clothes, iron and fold them flat after washing so they look like they were just bought from the store. Is that specific enough?
Let me introduce myself. I'm not young anymore, living a moderately well-off life, smoking but not drinking, went abroad as an international student, lived abroad for more than ten years, didn't go to university properly, honed survival skills in adversity, now returned home without learning much, to be honest, should be classified as a "pseudo-sea turtle" with no company, no stock, and no degree. My character is fifty-fifty, not entirely honest but naturally timid. Even if killing wasn't illegal, I wouldn't be able to do it. In general, I still belong to the category of being beneficial and harmless to society. Interested parties can contact by phone, non-serious inquiries please don't disturb.
At the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day, after watching the Spring Festival Gala and fooling around online for half the night, I finally lay down in bed. Actually, I was very sleepy but didn't want to sleep. I casually turned on the PSP, and this New Year film "If You Are the One" started playing slowly. I thought it would be like the New Year films of previous years. With the mindset that if it wasn't interesting, I'd just go to sleep, but as soon as I saw the opening segment of this matrimonial advertisement, I instinctively knew I wouldn't be able to sleep until I finished watching the movie. Sure enough, I watched it all in one breath, and the sky had already started to brighten.
Director Feng Xiaogang's New Year films come out every year. Except for "Cell Phone," I don't have a deep impression of the others. I neither particularly like nor dislike them. If there's a chance, I'll watch; if not, it doesn't matter. But this "If You Are the One" is different. It's a New Year film that must be watched, worth watching, seriously worth watching.
Let's take a look at a review first. This is a review I found on Douban. I don't know the author, but from the tone, it seems to be a review from a female perspective, quite interesting. The New Year film is just for entertainment. Let's entertain ourselves:
Winter solstice has arrived. Sisters, stop being picky and find a reliable partner to warm your bed.

Review of "If You Are the One" (Reprinted from http://www.douban.com/review/1596773/)
[One]
I've been wanting to watch this movie. Despite my usual appearance as a youth, I am actually a big fan of Ge You!
Every time I see him say "China Mobile, I think it works," I laugh so hard~
I check the download of this movie on eDonkey every day, but unfortunately, it hasn't come out yet. On Christmas day, my sister treated me, so we went to see it at Tuoda Island.
Before watching, Walter from Douban asked me for my opinion on this movie and hoped I could write a review.
This time, it really suits my taste, and I resonate with it. So, I'll write a review for everyone to enjoy.
[Two]
As soon as Ge You appeared, I laughed.
With his serious tone, I said, "This guy may be funny, but he's very reliable."
My definition of "reliable" is "dependable."
Although my sisters always tell me "Men are dependable when pigs fly," I believe that a real man should be "A wife who doesn't get jealous is truly dependable."
Some men enjoy having multiple partners and want to balance them all. Of course, this is a man's inherent flaw, but if I were a man, I might think the same way. (Wife, I repent T-T...)
The scholar I admire most, Gu Hongming, advocates polygamy. He says, "Men are teapots, women are teacups, and a teapot should always match several teacups." At the time, I thought it was true. However, it's not suitable in modern society.
[Three]
Sisters, you always say there's no one around you, and you've been picking for so long without finding anyone reliable.
In fact, it's because you aim high but don't lower yourself, and you're too picky about men.
There must be or have been a man around you who is as reliable as Ge You:
1. When you call him, he answers immediately; when you send him a text message, he replies instantly. When you laugh, he shares your happiness; when you feel wronged, he listens quietly to your complaints; when you cry, he hands you a tissue or holds your hand to comfort you.
2. When shopping together, he hesitates to put his arm around your shoulder or hold your hand, but instead gently pulls your clothing to guide you across the street.
3. When you're feeling down, regardless of whether he's busy or not, you call him, and he doesn't care if he's available or not, and chats with you or helps you relax.
4. When you're heartbroken, he drinks with you, restrains you when you get drunk, never leaving you alone, and never taking advantage of the situation.
5. When you need money but hesitate to ask, he gives it to you. If you refuse to accept it, he secretly puts it in your bag and texts you after you leave.
6. You call him "brother," but he doesn't want you to call him that. When you casually hold his hand, he feels uncomfortable. You think you owe him too much and want to give him something, but he refuses stubbornly, just holding you gently and哄you to sleep.
7. When you find a new boyfriend, he blesses you. When you break up and return to him, he never asks questions, treating you as before, caring for you tenderly.
Such men are very reliable, but you always complain: you think he's not handsome enough, or not romantic enough, or not rich enough, or not stylish enough, or not suave enough...
However, being handsome has no use, can it be used as a Guangfa card at Walmart? Romanticism is useless, can it withstand the north wind? Being rich is meaningless if the money isn't spent on you. Style and suaveness are fine for show, but for personal use, forget it unless you're keeping a pretty boy?
[Four]
Women actually want to be loved, cared for, and cherished. Finding a man is simply about finding someone to care for you. Unfortunately, too many men today have soft shoulders. Therefore, modern women walk with straighter backs, speak with firmer tones, and look with more aggressive eyes. In reality, it's because there's no one reliable behind them, so they have to embolden themselves.
Dear sisters, winter is really cold. If you sincerely want to find someone to warm your bed, don't be too picky. Looking for someone good-looking but unreliable is pointless; finding someone reliable is what matters!
Sisters, stop being picky. Men are usually good-looking but useless; women are different. Good-looking women are absolutely useful when brought home. Men, however, the handsome and suave ones are usually unkind, the romantic and stylish ones often have their feet in N boats, and those who can appear in public occasionally suffer from impotence or premature ejaculation...
Sisters, really stop being picky. These days, there are plenty of men, but too many lack integrity. If you want to find someone to spend the winter with and live a good life, find someone reliable!
Do you still not know what a reliable man looks like?
I think Ge You has set an example in this movie.
[Five]
Walter, does this review meet your expectations?
Wife, when it gets cold, if you want to warm your bed, use an electric blanket, not a human-like object!
Yes, and I wish everyone here a warm bed companion during this winter.
Haha, isn't the comment above interesting? Although it's straightforward, it's indeed true. Honest, sincere, truthful, and realistic.
In the beautiful Shiretoko Peninsula, cranberry flowers bloom joyfully in the breeze. In this season of blooming flowers, don't forget the past. We drink and sing together, climb the hill and look afar, and see Kunashiri Island far away. The white night passes, and dawn approaches.
It's not because of the beautiful scenery, walking along the beach makes me drunk. Here, it's so quiet everywhere, the moon shines on the sea, and silver waves glitter. That day, the moonlight was so beautiful, I wanted to embrace you. When I quietly approached the rock, you were already smiling there.
The moment of departure has finally come. We part ways tonight. You crossed the mountains and ridges and came to the Shiretoko Peninsula again. As time flies and circumstances change, please don't forget me. This white seagull, don't let her shed tears.
— Lyrics of "Shiretoko Travel Sentiment"
There are two interesting parts in this New Year film. The first is the insert song "Shiretoko Travel Sentiment," originally sung by Japanese singer Kato Tokiko. It once swept Japan. Why did Director Feng use a Japanese song in the movie?
The second is near the end of the movie, when Mr. Wu drives away. At that time, I worried that such intense filming might lead to a car accident or something, but the car slowed down more and more, eventually stopping completely. Mr. Wu cried silently...
At this point in the movie, Mr. Wu became the secondary protagonist in the film's expression. A movie that satirizes worldly affairs and admires love suddenly reflects on the friendship of middle-aged men. Is this a branch or the main trunk? How can a Chinese person singing a Japanese song move Chinese audiences? It's the melody of the song. To be precise, Chinese people don't know what "Shiretoko" means, nor can they understand the lyrics, but the melody moves people. The melody isn't just the tune; it also includes the emotion and scene.
"Want not to laugh, get anesthesia." This is Director Feng's evaluation of "If You Are the One." Indeed, it's a New Year film filled with laughter. Humor permeates many aspects of humanity within it. On the surface, it seems very funny, even laugh-out-loud funny, but what lies behind the laughter? That's warmth.
Although the movie contains many jokes, they exist solely to tell a warm story — how Ge You wins over the beautiful Shu Qi and makes her stop clinging to a hopeless romance. In the latter half of the movie, the pace slows down. Qin Fen, played by Ge You, and Xiao Xiao, played by Shu Qi, embark on a romantic journey in Hokkaido. At the end of the journey, Qin Fen says, "I've fallen in love with you." Xiao Xiao leans on Qin Fen's shoulder. Two lonely souls lean on each other, making the moment very touching.
I've never considered Director Feng to be adept at playing with camera lenses, but this movie has definitely changed that old image. The cinematography in the movie becomes increasingly cinematic, increasingly beautiful and captivating.
It's truly inspiring, truly brave, and also truly heart-wrenching. There are many leftover men and women like Old Barry waiting for this movie to fulfill our romantic hopes for love.
