The male perpetrator's surname is Xu, born in 1984, from Longyou County, Zhejiang Province, about 1.7 meters tall, slim build, short hair.
According to Xu's confession, around 10 p.m. on January 6, taking advantage of the Wumart supermarket not yet being closed, he secretly hid in the supermarket restroom. After the supermarket closed its doors, all the people had left, he then took the opportunity to climb onto the urinal in the restroom, lifted the ceiling, and climbed up.

Stealing - January 7, 6:00 a.m.
Breaking into the jewelry store and stealing 9 million yuan worth of jewelry
Around 6:00 a.m. the next morning, Xu walked straight from the supermarket restroom ceiling to the ceiling above the jewelry store.
Then he lifted the ceiling; the ceiling was about 2 meters high from the jewelry store floor. He used a black rope, tied it securely, and slid down the rope into the jewelry counter.

The stolen counter was near the north entrance of the jewelry store. At the time, the staff had just repaired the lock on the counter. At around 7:00 a.m. on January 7, the Gongshu police successfully cracked a major jewelry store theft case, arresting the suspect Xu on the spot and confiscating gold and jade worth about 9 million yuan.
At 6:50 a.m. on January 7, the Xiangfu Police Station received an instruction from the 110 command center that the alarm in a jewelry store on the first floor of the Wumart supermarket had sounded. Upon receiving the alarm, the on-duty police immediately rushed to the scene. Meanwhile, the Gongshu branch immediately dispatched mobile patrol and prevention forces to reinforce, working together with the police from the Xiangfu Police Station to conduct waiting patrols at each entrance and exit of the Wumart supermarket. At 9:00 p.m. on January 6, Xu carried screwdrivers, knives, and other criminal tools and hid in the ceiling of the supermarket toilet during its operating hours. By 6:00 a.m. on January 7, Xu crawled along the ceiling to the jewelry store to commit the theft. During the theft, he accidentally triggered the alarm of the jewelry store, subsequently climbing back onto the ceiling with the stolen goods and was caught on the spot. Upon investigation, Xu stole a total of 60 gold bracelets and 41 jade pieces, amounting to a total value of about 9 million yuan.
