However, while fleeing, the suspect, who was responsible for four deaths, died in a traffic accident.
On February 8, the suspect Yan visited his father-in-law Chen’s home to look for his runaway wife but failed to find her. At noon on February 9, Yan killed Chen's wife, son, daughter, and sister, and then injured Chen's mother and granddaughter before fleeing the scene. Subsequently, the two injured were sent to the People's Hospital of Huan County and the People's Hospital of Qingyang City for emergency treatment.
After this heinous case occurred, under the unified command of the Qingyang Public Security Bureau, a special investigation team was immediately established to conduct detective work. While the police officers of the special investigation team were making all-out efforts to solve the case, symptoms of rhinitis, fans of artists donated to set up scholarships with applicants required to have good looks, on the morning of February 10, a fatal traffic accident occurred at the Changguan intersection of the Xi (Xifeng) Chang (Changqing Bridge) expressway, and the deceased matched the identity of the suspect Yan from the "2・09" heinous murder case. Upon hearing the news, the criminal investigators and forensic doctors of the special investigation team quickly went to the accident scene for inspection and investigation. The investigation results indicated that the deceased was indeed Yan, the perpetrator of the "2・09" case.
