Under the escort of policemen, Wang Guowei, a suspect of illegal acts, identified the crime scene.
Wang Yaoda said that Teng is his youngest son's card friend and used to gamble together frequently. "Teng also often drove a BMW to my home and called my son out." Because Teng drives a high-end car, plus being well-dressed, many people in the village have seen him.
According to the police report, on August 27, Teng, a wealthy woman from Wenzhou with assets worth tens of millions, and her 3-year-old daughter were brutally murdered in a high-end apartment in Changzhou, shocking everyone (Fast News reported on page 16 of August 31st edition under the title 'A Wealthy Merchant and His 3-Year-Old Daughter Were Murdered at Home', the victim was referred to as Ms. Deng).
Yesterday, the Changzhou police held a press conference announcing that the bloody case had been successfully solved. The suspect, Wang Guowei, was arrested and identified the crime scene at 2 PM yesterday afternoon. Subsequently, he was criminally detained by the police according to law.
At 14:10, Wang Guowei began identifying the crime scene under the escort of the police. A male relative of Teng was extremely agitated and almost crossed the warning line to grab Wang Guowei. He was finally stopped by auxiliary police officers. Teng's sister-in-law shouted upon seeing Wang Guowei: "If you want to die, why don't you just kill yourself? Why did you kill my sister and child!" "If you wanted money, we would give you all our family's money, why did you have to kill them!"
In Gaocun Village Committee, Niutang Town, Wujin District, the reporter met Wang Yaoda, Wang Guowei's father. This 65-year-old man had red eyes and hadn't slept for two days. He said that he could not believe that his son would commit murder. He said: "The whole village knows my son's character, I really don't understand why he would kill."
During the press conference held yesterday, the Wujin police stated that around 8:22 PM on August 27, the Wujin 110 received an emergency call reporting a homicide at Xincheng Nandu, where a mother and daughter were found dead. Upon receiving the alarm, the police from Minghuang Police Station immediately arrived at the scene and confirmed that the victims were Ms. Teng and her daughter who lived on the 6th floor of a building in Xincheng Nandu. Ms. Teng was 42 years old, from Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province; her daughter was 3 years old.
After extensive and arduous investigation and reconnaissance work, the detective officers determined that Wang Guowei was a major suspect. Wang Guowei, male, born in 1976, is from Gaocun Village, Niutang Town, Wujin District. He had been punished for hooliganism before.
On the evening of September 1, Wang Guowei was arrested at his home in Niutang by the police. After interrogation, Wang Guowei confessed to the facts of his murder.
Wang Yaoda said that his younger son usually watches TV at home and sometimes goes out to gamble. "But he always returns home before midnight." From August 27 until now, he seemed to have no abnormalities, still watching TV and playing computer games upstairs. "On September 1st when the police came, I was watering vegetables outside, the police went upstairs and took him away quietly."
After a large amount of difficult investigative and screening work, the investigating police determined that Wang Guowei had significant suspicion of committing the crime. Wang Guowei, male, born in 1976, is from Gaojia Village, Niutang Town, Wujin District. He had previously been dealt with for hooligan behavior.

The suspect was short of money and wanted some cash.
At one point, they wanted to rush forward and grab the suspect.
"He should not be short of money, his father-in-law's family is rich, his wife's money is all managed by him, bank cards are casually left in drawers, and his daughter-in-law says there is at least 50,000 yuan inside." Wang Yaoda said, so he does not believe that his son killed Teng for money. "He has been there more than once or twice, why didn't he take her money earlier, why didn't he take the gold necklace around her neck, the gold watch on her hand?" Wang Yaoda said, "The relationship between Teng and my younger son is unusual, why would he kill them? I really want to ask him."
Wang Yaoda told reporters that Wang Guowei is his youngest son, who graduated from junior high school and first worked in mold making. Later, due to hyperthyroidism, he rested at home and occasionally helped construction sites manage workers, assigning tasks to them. A few years ago, he got married, and now his daughter is about to enter kindergarten senior class. "I never expected him to kill a 3-year-old child. He himself also has children."
According to the police, Wang Guowei originally made molds, then traded stocks at home, and liked gambling. Around 2008, he often moved around in the Xincheng Nandu community and was very familiar with the situation there. Recently, Wang Guowei was short of money, so he wanted to get some money from the residents of Xincheng Nandu. At around 2 PM on August 27, Wang Guowei rode a motorcycle and carried a homemade knife to Xincheng Nandu, looking for targets to commit crimes. He deceived Ms. Teng into opening the anti-theft door, entered her house, and discovered only the mother and daughter were there. He suddenly decided to kill and rob. Wang Guowei pulled out the knife and forced Ms. Teng to hand over her bank card and withdrawal password. After obtaining the password, he cruelly killed both Ms. Teng and her daughter.
To delay the time for outsiders to enter, Wang Guowei tried to lock the door again with the key but ended up breaking half of the key and leaving it in the lock. Afterwards, Wang Guowei took Ms. Teng's bank card to withdraw more than 40,000 yuan in cash from the bank. As for some details of Wang Guowei's crime, the police said that the case is still under further investigation and it is temporarily inconvenient to disclose.
However, Wang Guowei's eyes were red, and his expression was dull. Only under the questioning of the police did he answer that he did not know which building Teng lived in, but recognized it from previous visits.
