1. Dai Zhikang sent an email saying, "Ten years ago, I was a legitimate user of Hongtao English-Chinese software. What happened in the past ten years is enough to become the unforgettable memory for the first generation of software entrepreneurs. And today, ten years later, whether it is for emotion, friends or users, I look forward to Hongtao Software creating more beautiful tomorrows at a new starting point!" Thank you, Dai Zhikang.

2. Since I was a child, I have loved playing with people older than me. This hobby has led most of my friends to be from the 60s, and I am somewhat unfamiliar with those born in the 80s. The first time I heard about Dai Zhikang was through media articles about 'post-80s elites' regarding the traffic accident on Shenhai Expressway that resulted in two deaths (with pictures). After knowing he was the founder and author of Discuz, my intuition told me that he belongs to the lucky, ambitious, and visionary category among post-80s.

3. Last year or the year before, I attended an event organized by Interactive Encyclopedia upon Wu Haijing's invitation, where I met Li Mingshun after a long time. I learned that he had joined Dai Zhikang's company as vice president. Listening to his introduction about Discuz, I suddenly realized how much Discuz had grown and was no longer merely a forum software company.

4. On a certain day this year, when Moore Karting entered the top ten on the iPad chart, I received a message from Dai Zhikang within Hai, so we arranged to meet. In a teahouse on Waliuzhong Road, after hours of communication with Dai Zhikang, I received a lot of valuable information, suggestions, and experiences. One of my feelings was: Run! Run faster! Run stably!

5. Dai Zhikang is only one step away from complete success. For this step, he has prepared sufficient ammunition. Human nature dictates that people are always destroyed by greed and held hostage by fear. Compared with many post-80s and many technical predecessors, Dai Zhikang's secret lies in proper balance. Discuz already has many users, money, and resources, which can easily make someone lose their head, but Dai Zhikang remains calm now, just like when he decided to make Discuz free.

6. What I need to learn from Dai Zhikang is the art of balance and persistence. In marketing, Dai Zhikang uses the most traditional method - responding to all changes (a huge service market) with no change (basic product free), fully considering the marketing characteristics of the Internet. However, this also precisely applies all kinds of resources of Dai Zhikang and Discuz to the extreme, because of fearlessness, fast progress, willingness to give up, and persistent focus on network community software. Competitors are firmly kept behind and greatly distanced.

7. Many people do not understand what Dai Zhikang intends to achieve by making it free or why Dai Zhikang wants to stir up the SNS situation. That's because they are not Dai Zhikang. The calculations in Dai Zhikang's mind are bigger than what they imagine. Moreover, the power behind Dai Zhikang does not allow him to be content with modest wealth. For successful enterprises, innovation is forced, and for Dai Zhikang, perhaps getting rich is forced. At this point, Dai Zhikang cannot turn back.

8. From Dai Zhikang, I felt the value of software, the value of technology, and the strength of the team, which further strengthened my belief that there is nothing wrong with establishing a software company based on the Internet. The premise is the formation of the team and its will. There can be no money, but there must be people; there don't have to be many people, but there must be like-minded individuals.

9. I have decided to become Dai Zhikang's user. Of course, first as a free user, then as a paying user, hehe. This way, everything is completely even. My dream is that one day, Dai Zhikang can once again become my user.

10. To make Dai Zhikang my user, I need to work hard, stay focused, and persevere.
