If educational resources are the most precious resources in Beijing, then the capital's educational talent can be considered one of the core strategic resources. To promote the development of educational talent in the capital, Beijing will implement the "Capital Master Educator Development Plan" this year, focusing on selecting, supporting, and cultivating 100 master educators from the capital. The "High-Level Educational and Political Talent Cultivation Plan" will also be implemented, focusing on cultivating and supporting 30 outstanding primary and secondary school principals. Additionally, as a key project under the "Long-Term Planning Outline for the Development of Capital Educational Talent," starting this year, the city will select and honor 20 master educators and renowned principals who have made significant contributions to the reform and development of the capital's education system and are widely praised and recognized by society every two years. These individuals will be awarded the title of "Capital Educator."

The government's initiative to select "Capital Educators" is a good move, but the specific selection criteria present a challenge. One could say that everyone has their own idea of what constitutes a "Capital Educator." After all, over the years, there have been very few individuals truly deserving of the title "educator." From another perspective, perhaps our standards for "educators" are somewhat strict. The election of some highly accomplished professionals with profound ideas, rich practical experience, and those leading the development of education in the capital as "Capital Educators" would itself be an enhancement for the capital's education system. It seems that discovering "Capital Educators" is no easy task.
