According to our news report, after being detected for drunk driving by the police, the driver fled in an attempt to evade arrest. Unfortunately, he crashed into a police car that was trying to intercept him, damaging the police vehicle which was on duty. Recently, Su Mou, the driver under the influence, was sentenced to one and a half years in prison by the First Intermediate People's Court for obstructing official duties.
On the evening of March 10, 2011, several police officers were conducting nighttime checks for drunk driving within the Cold Spring Village area of Northwest Wang Town in Haidian District. Around 11:15 PM, as a white Xiaoli car approached the checkpoint, it suddenly reversed. Immediately, several police officers pursued the vehicle.
The white Xiaoli car attempted to escape at high speed in reverse. The police quickly called upon Zhang Mou, stationed at another nearby checkpoint, to intercept the fleeing vehicle. Zhang Mou first used the loudspeaker inside his police car to instruct the Xiaoli car to stop for inspection, but the driver ignored the command. Subsequently, Zhang Mou slowly maneuvered his police car closer to block the reversing escape route of the Xiaoli car. However, the driver of the Xiaoli car suddenly rammed directly into Zhang Mou's police car.
Upon investigation, it was found that the driver, Su Mou, hailed from a rural area in Shandong province. Alcohol testing revealed that Su Mou had a blood alcohol content of 132 mg/ml, while the repair cost for the damaged police car was approximately 12,000 yuan.
After colliding with the police car, the Xiaoli car continued to reverse in an attempt to flee until it hit a lamppost and could no longer be started. Following this, the pursuing police officers apprehended Su Mou, the driver of the Xiaoli car.
