After watching all these, everyone crosses the pedestrian bridge again to the southern district. You will see a square called World City Square. There are tents where you can cool down after walking. The large sunshades cost 2 million RMB each! In the center of the square there is a stage for performances. Under the chimney is the Future Pavilion, which we'll visit in the afternoon. It's noon now, so our primary task is to eat. The restaurant near the pedestrian bridge side of the Future Pavilion is the largest in Puxi. I recommend eating there.
When you enter, you first see the Jiangnan Shipyard Museum, which was originally an old factory renovated into the China Shipping Enterprise Pavilion. Inside, you can learn about China's shipbuilding history, including the tragic case of a man who ran over and killed an infant and refused to surrender, resulting in a three-year sentence. You can also see models of Zheng He's treasure ships. More than 400 years ago, Zheng He's fleet was unmatched in the world. Columbus and Magellan were all latecomers.
There is also Shanghai's "Hu Shang Eco Home," which informs everyone about innovations in modern living environments. Additionally, there's the century-old pawn shop - Macao Tak Sing Pawn Shop. Upstairs is the Jin Yong Library, where your favorite martial arts characters may appear. If you're lucky, you might even encounter Jin Yong himself signing books. Xi'an's Daming Palace and Ningbo's Tengtou Village are also worth visiting. Internationally, I recommend visiting London's Zero Carbon Pavilion, Hamburg's Hamburg House, Saudi Mecca's Tent City, and Madrid's Bamboo House. By the way, I forgot to mention that the Urban Best Practices Area itself is an exhibit, with all lighting effects designed by Lyon, France.
The first stop this afternoon is the Future Pavilion. Inside, it will tell us about our future urban life and the issues facing today's urban life, which was once considered the future. The Future Pavilion is quite large, so take your time to experience it.
In the past two days, we've already visited all the exhibition halls in the Pudong area of the Expo Park. Many people think the Puxi exhibitions aren't the main focus, but if you understand the Expo, you'll find that corporate pavilions have played important roles in the Expo. This time, the Expo organizers have also provided an area called the "Urban Best Practices Area" to let people understand the efforts made by various countries to improve urban quality of life.
After visiting the Far East Pavilion, go to the Urban Best Practices Area and check out the remaining corporate pavilions in the afternoon. After crossing, Osaka and Taipei's pavilions are both good, as well as the Sao Paulo case from Brazil. After seeing the pedestrian bridge, cross it. Near Zhongshan South Road is the most exciting northern construction case area of the Urban Best Practices Area.
On the third day, I hope everyone arrives at the park entrance at 8:30. Take subway line 8 and get off at Zangjiang South Road station, which is the largest entrance and exit of the Puxi Expo Park.
Jiangnan Park provides places for rest and meals. In the evening, you can visit the Coca-Cola Pavilion, which is easy to find as the building looks like a big Coca-Cola bottle. After that, go to the Space Home Pavilion next door, where the latest aerospace technology is on display. Then go to the State Grid Pavilion. You can make reservations through the State Grid Pavilion website and enter directly without queuing. The interactive exhibits inside and the novel design of the State Grid Pavilion are worth looking forward to. Coming out of the State Grid Pavilion, look up and you'll see the large screen of the Oil Pavilion, where you can see how China's oil industry is doing. Remember, oil is king in today's world! Near the Huangpu River is the Korean Corporate Joint Pavilion, where E-Mart, Samsung, Hyundai, LG, and others will be exhibiting. I suggest taking a photo outside as a souvenir because after the Expo, the building materials will be recycled into eco-bags given to Shanghai citizens.
Finally, you can leave the park from the Luban Road exit. At the exit is the Lupu Bridge, where you can pay 68 yuan during the day to climb to the top and overlook the entire park. At the Luban Road exit, you can take subway line 4 or buses 17, 36, and 146.
Finally, you can learn about the 160-year history of the Expo by visiting the Expo Museum. The Expo Museum and the Variety Hall are in the same building, where you can watch performances. After that, go to the Civilization Pavilion to understand the past of cities. Next to the Civilization Pavilion is the Japanese Industry Joint Pavilion. Japan always takes participating in the Expo seriously, so the exhibits won't disappoint you.
After leaving the China Shipping Pavilion, walk towards the Nanpu Bridge. First, go to the Chinese Private Enterprise Pavilion, where private enterprises like Alibaba and Red Star Macalline will jointly exhibit. Then visit the Vanke Pavilion. As China's largest real estate developer, they are indeed very wealthy! The pavilion is made of pressed wheat straw, allowing you to see what Chinese cities might look like in 2049. Next to Vanke is the Far East Pavilion. This air conditioning company is quite amazing. The architecture and design of the pavilion reflect environmental protection, and it can be built quickly. They also display new energy-saving and environmentally friendly air conditioners.
Afterwards, you can watch performances at the Expo Plaza and play around the old shipyards of the former Jiangnan Shipyard. Then visit the AURORA Pavilion. If you're a collector, this is a must-visit in the Expo Park. Even if you're not interested, learning about China's jade culture is still worthwhile. After the AURORA Pavilion is the Railway Pavilion. Where there are cities, there are railways. Frequent travelers should pay attention. Next to the Railway Pavilion is the Shanghai Corporate Joint Pavilion, a very beautiful pavilion. Yu Qiuyu is the artistic director, and the facade is made of CD discs, incorporating many high-tech elements. Inside, you'll find the world's most advanced robot - Haibao. Next to the Shanghai Corporate Joint Pavilion is the PICC Pavilion. Personally, I don't find it interesting, but since you're here, you might as well take a look.
The rainwater collection device and Sun Valley of the Expo Axis. On the third day, the night view of the Expo Axis. The large light pillars of the Expo Axis.
After visiting the Future Pavilion, please return towards the corporate pavilions. This time, the route includes China Aviation, Information and Communication, and SAIC-GM. The China Aviation Pavilion looks like a cloud. Many people who haven't taken a plane can experience it here. The Information and Communication Pavilion is created by China Mobile and China Telecom. Bring your mobile phone, and they'll show you the essence of communication in the information age. The SAIC-GM Pavilion will let you experience the urban traffic conditions of 2030.
