In the treatment of nephropathy with Jianpiyishen decoction, among 33 cases with a high degree of edema and proteinuria, we believe that the main focus should be on eliminating proteinuria and edema, while correcting the syndrome in the short term. Western medicine treatments such as diuretics, albumin supplements, and plasma were administered. If the condition persists at a high level for a month, it should not be treated with hormones or immunosuppressive agents. This method, under sterile conditions, has strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, which can shorten the duration of the disease. However, whether it is hormones or immunosuppressive agents, they both have certain side effects that sometimes make it difficult for patients to accept. Meanwhile, the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Jianpiyishen decoction makes up for the lack of hormones and immunosuppressants by mitigating their side effects and improving renal function. It plays a certain role in regulating humoral immune levels and has the potential to reduce the recurrence rate.
