Cloud technology company rebrands, acquires CX.com domain for substantial price

It has been reported that cloud storage and data management service provider CX (formerly known as Cloud Experience) released the official version of its services this month and plans to update its logo. It has also been revealed that the company quietly acquired the premium letter domain cx.com, though the transaction amount has not been disclosed.

The premium domain cx.com was registered in 1994, giving it an 18-year registration history and high temporal value. The domain information has been transferred to CX company and renewed until 2016. Other domain suffixes such as cx.net/.org/.biz have all been registered.

Interestingly, "cx" can be seen as the abbreviation of "Cloud Experience," but it can also stand for "Cathay Pacific," as well as Sony CX and Canon CX. This highlights the recognition of the cx.com domain, suggesting that its transaction price would not have been insignificant.

Additionally, the new logo design revolves around "CX," with the final concept being a color overlay of "C" and "X." MovingBrands interprets this as "Cloud to the Power of X," aiming to convey the idea that through infinite ("X" representing infinity) power from the cloud, users can achieve and exceed their expectations.
